Our Partner
Memorial University’s Department of English came on board in 2017 as the Trust’s partner for two annual writers’ residencies, one in the Spring for a selected graduate of the Creative Writing Program and one in the Fall, for MUN’s Writer-in-Residence to devote to their own writing before beginning the semester mentoring student writers.
Kent Cottage, nestled in the cliffs overlooking Brigus Bay, away from the distractions of daily life and with no wifi connectivity, is a paradise for the solitary writer to reflect, read, and write.

I am very grateful to Landfall Trust for partnering with MUN to grant me the gift of 2 weeks at the cottage to finish my book. It’s been peaceful, beautiful and very productive, and I’ve loved every minute. This place is a treasure.
