One way Landfall Trust supports the Artists-in-Residence program is to have paying guests for the other weeks in the season. Be inspired to create in these beautiful surroundings on a secluded sea cliff overlooking Brigus Bay, Feel the historic ambience of the 200-year-old cottage and the rich legacy of the many artists who have stayed there.
Cottage Availability: Rentals are for a minimum of one week (6 nights/7 days) and run from a Saturday to a Friday. Usually the cottage is available for one or two weeks in July, August and September. The rental rate is $975 per week (no taxes) with a 20% deposit due on booking.
Kent Cottage Features: Downstairs is an open kitchen /living room area and a small studio. The heat source is an oil space heater and the fridge and stove are propane. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one queen size bed and one with twin beds) , a small reading room and a bathroom with an on-demand propane water heater. Bed linens, towels and kitchenware are supplied,
Cottage Off-the-Grid Considerations: Cell phone coverage is good. Wi-fi is available in downtown Brigus. Solar panels provide enough power for lights and low energy drawing electronic devices only. Water is from a hillside reservoir and untreated. Residents must supply their own drinking water and practice water conservation.
